29/01/2018 1144 Change of Restricted (R) and Danger (D) Areas into Temporary Reserved Areas (TRA) and Temporary Segregated Areas (TSA) In order to implement the Flexible Use of Airspace concept, the former Restricted (R) and Danger (D) Areas are removed from AIP RH ENR 5.1, and they have become flexible TRA and TSA areas. The new TRA and TSA areas are published in AIP RH ENR 5.2 “MILITARY EXERCISE AND TRAINING AREAS AND AIR DEFENSE IDENTIFICATION ZONE (ADIZ)” (AIRAC AIP AMDT 012/2017), with the change becoming effective and coming in force as from February 1, 2018. The users of military airspace structures shall submit their requests for reservations of exclusively military TRA and TSA areas to the Military Approved Agency (MILAA), at the latest on the day before the commencement of the activity until 11:00 am local time. The TRA and TSA reservations shall be published by means of an AUP/UUP from the lower up to the upper level of the planned work in the area, on the day before the commencement of the activity. Exceptionally, the TRA and TSA reservations may be published by means of an UUP on the day of the activity as well, no later than 3 hours before the commencement of the activity, whereas the requests for such reservations shall be submitted to the AMC no later than 4 hours before the commencement of the activity. A TRA reservation is also published by NOTAM only from GND up to 1000 ft AGL, 24 hours before the commencement of the activity as a minimum. A TSA reservation is also published by NOTAM from the lower up to the upper level of the planed work in the zone, 24 hours before the commencement of the activity as a minimum.
